What’s Coming Up for See The World With The Kids? Our Travel Plans for the Rest of 2025!

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the year! We’ve been lucky enough to kick things off with our P&O Cruise to France and Belgium back in April, and now we’re diving into the exciting planning for our summer trip.

We’re off to experience the sizzling summer heat of Dubai! Some may call us crazy, but we couldn’t resist a bargain, and we’ve heard that the summer months mean quieter attractions. Whether that’s true, we’ll soon find out!

Dubai is packed with family-friendly attractions, and there are so many things on our list. We’ll definitely be making the most of the indoor activities (hello, air con!) and sharing everything on our blog and YouTube channel.
Here are just a few of the top experiences we’re planning:

Burj Khalifa
It goes without saying – we’ll be heading up the tallest building in the world. At The Top is the observation deck on levels 124 & 125, offering stunning panoramic views of Dubai’s skyline, desert, and ocean. You can even upgrade to level 148 for the world’s highest outdoor observation deck. It’s a true bucket list moment and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark
One of the top waterparks in Dubai (and the world!), set at the iconic Atlantis The Palm Hotel. With record-breaking slides, lazy rivers, and splash zones, it’s the ultimate place to cool off.
Fun fact: It’s home to Odyssey of Terror, the tallest waterslide in the world! Whether I’ll be brave enough to try it… we’ll see!

The Green Planet
This one looks right up our boys’ street! The Green Planet is a fully immersive indoor rainforest with over 3,000 plants and animals – from sloths and toucans to reptiles and butterflies. It’s such a unique, educational experience and a great escape from the heat. You can even book special animal encounters (sloth selfie, anyone?).

❄️ Ski Dubai
An arctic world right in the middle of the desert! Ski Dubai, inside the Mall of the Emirates, offers skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, and even a chance to meet real penguins. It’s at the top of Charlie’s list – and to be honest, we’re all excited about a snowball fight in the desert!

Evening Desert Safari
This is a must-do for us. We’re hoping to book an evening desert safari with all the extras: dune bashing, quad biking, sandboarding, a sunset BBQ, and traditional Arabian entertainment under the stars. It sounds absolutely incredible and will be something the boys (and us!) remember forever.

Museum of the Future
This one intrigues us the most! It’s such a unique-looking building – you can’t miss it when you drive through Dubai. From what we’ve read, it’s an interactive space that blends science, technology, and imagination. Perfect for curious kids and adults!
Tip: It books up quickly, so we’ll be reserving tickets in advance – I’m literally heading to the website as soon as I finish writing this!
We have so much more on our list, and I’ll be sharing our full itinerary in a post very soon.

Do We Have Any Other Plans This Year?
Hopefully! Michael is great at finding last-minute deals, so we’re keeping our eyes peeled for an autumn getaway. I’d love to visit the Canary Islands, Madeira, or maybe even Croatia – somewhere warm and relaxing before the festive season kicks in.
We’re also hoping to sneak in one or two weekend breaks. Here are a few ideas I have in mind:

A Trip to London to See The Lion King
The boys have never seen a West End show, and The Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre has been top of my list for years. With amazing costumes, music, and stage effects, it’s meant to be absolutely magical for all ages. Fingers crossed we can finally make it happen!

A Quirky Weekend Stay
I’ve been eyeing up places on Canopy & Stars, CoolStays, and Unique Hideaways. Whether it’s a luxury glamping pod, a treehouse, or a converted barn with a hot tub – I love the idea of escaping somewhere a little different for a night or two and spending some quality family time.

Spa Weekend
Honestly? I would love a relaxing spa weekend with Michael. No phones, no cooking, just us, peace and pampering! These dreamy spa hotels are on my radar:
Ragdale Hall, Leicestershire – famous for its rooftop infinity pool
The Scarlet, Cornwall – eco-luxury with clifftop hot tubs
Champneys Tring, Hertfordshire – great couples’ packages
Careys Manor, New Forest – a Thai spa retreat tucked into the woods

We’ll see what we can plan… just writing about it makes me want to go now!
I think sometimes we overlook just how special a short break can be – even one night away can completely reset your soul. I’ll be sharing more UK weekend break ideas very soon, so make sure you’re subscribed to the blog so you don’t miss it!

Tell Me Your Plans!
Do you have any holidays or weekend getaways coming up this year? Have you ever stayed in a quirky UK spot? I’d love your recommendations – feel free to leave a comment or DM me on Instagram!
Thanks so much for reading and for supporting See The World With The Kids – it truly means the world to us.
